16. Airport Vehicle Rentals
Having a car is really the best way to explore Aruba—from the stunning beaches to the rugged northeast coast and everything in between. People who assume they don't need one often find themselves scrambling to rent midway through their trip, especially during high season when availability gets tight.
The major international rental companies are all conveniently located right at the airport. As you exit the arrivals hall, turn right and you'll find Avis (+297 582-2847), Budget (+297 582-8600), Hertz (+297 582-1845), Thrifty (+297 583-5335), Dollar, and Alamo/National with desks ready to help. Check-in happens at their counters, then it's just a short walk across to the parking area to pick up your vehicle. Several companies also offer online reservations with airport pickup.
