Coral Estate Luxury Resort is built around Karakter Beach, inside an upscale gated community roughly halfway between Willemstad and the West Point beaches. The beach is beautiful and often busy, with much of the activity centered around the waterfront. If you’re renting a car and planning to explore the western beaches and nature, this can be a handy base.
You’ll find suites with garden, partial ocean or full ocean views, along with apartments and villas for more space. It’s worth looking closely at the accommodation you’re booking, and taking the word “luxury” in the name with a little perspective. If you’re used to luxury travel, it may set your expectations higher than it should.
Karakter serves meals beside the beach, while Koraal has a rooftop setting with a saltwater infinity pool. Bread and More covers coffee, pastries and sandwiches, and there’s also Pizza and More for an easy meal or takeaway. You can head out exploring during the day and come back for dinner without another drive.
