Fort Nassau
Fort Nassau, originally constructed in 1796 and perched on a hill overlooking Willemstad, is a historic fort with a commanding view of the city and its harbor. It has undergone several transformations, including a stint under British control when it was known as Fort George.
The fort’s strategic significance has shifted over the years, and since 1959, it has operated as a restaurant. Visitors can enjoy not only the fort’s rich history but also stunning panoramic views and a unique dining experience, making Fort Nassau a memorable stop in Curaçao.
TIP: One of the few restaurants open on Sundays. Sit on the side facing the water after Sunset, and take in the sparkling lights on the bay.
