37. Greeting People
It’s customary to greet people with a friendly “Bon dia” (Good morning), “Bon tardi” (Good afternoon), or “Bon nochi” (Good evening).
Curaçao is a very friendly and outgoing island, and everyone greets everyone—so don’t be surprised, and do join in the positive energy! Even if you’re just entering a small shop or walking past someone on the street, eye contact and a quick greeting go a long way.
