For a hands-on experience, join a local chef for a cooking workshop using island ingredients. Often held at places like the Aloë Vera Plantation’s outdoor kitchen or a historic Landhuis, you’ll pick fresh herbs and veggies, learn to make dishes like keshi yena (stuffed cheese) or plantain mash, and then dine on your creations. It’s relaxed and interactive – you might even muddle a cocktail with herbs from the garden. By the end, you not only taste Curaçao’s cuisine – you can cook it! (Schedules vary, often by request.)
