Baoase Culinary Beach Restaurant

This top-drawer restaurant is located on the perfectly manicured beachfront of the Baoase Luxury Resort Hotel. It is well known as one of the premier epicurean establishments on the Island. Executive Chef René Klop combines French techniques with tropical influences and Asian flavors. We’ve found the food to be excellent and the service too. If you are ‘a foodie’ or a wine lover and willing to pay for top notch fare, then this is your place. Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance, as it books up quickly and is full most days.

BKLYN

This well-crafted gem is a Brooklyn inspired gastro bar where big city vibes meld into a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The interior is chic, contemporary and cozy. This is the type of place to come with a group of friends or on a date. The menu is thoughtfully conjured up for shareable gastronomic food, to be paired with designer cocktails or a great glass of wine. We love the unique craft cocktails at BKLYN… so read the drink list, for unique concoctions. If you can't pick a drink, ask the bartenders for suggestions - or just describe what you are thinking of, and let them surprise you. Everyone who works here is a pro that loves what they do. Speaking of love - Martin the owner loves music, especially the innovative hip-hop vibe that came out of Brooklyn New York back in the late 80s, thus the name BKLYN. So if you are a music aficionado listen to the tracks playing in the BG and you'll smile at the 718 borough sounds. "Spread Love it's the Brooklyn way!"

Brass Boer

Located at the Blue Bay Golf and Beach Resort, The Brass Boer Curacao is one of the few high-end Fine Dining experience Restaurants on the Island. Make a Reservation as far in advance as you can, as it tends to be very heavily booked up. The menu is created with detailed care by world-class Chefs and Sommeliers. What we feel is fantastic is that Jonnie & Thérèse Boer have found a wonderful balance of offering 5-star eating without ever losing the casual vibe of the island. Alongside the A La Carte Menu, there is also a ‘6-Course Chef’s Tasting Menu’ as an option. It’s a brilliant ying and yang balance, that is not to be missed, if you are a High-End Foodie.

Caleo Crudos y Parrilla

This high-end Epicurean gourmet treasure trove is nestled in the casual laid back atmosphere of Kura Hulanda Village. Whether you’re looking for a meal of tapas-sized dishes to share, blissful bites to snack on, or a full meal, the team at Caleo has you covered. If you love Seafood, they have a great Raw Bar menu, or BBQ'd Fresh Seafood and Meat, alongside a culinary crescendo of Argentinian Grilled Delicacies…we just can’t stop ordering the Mushroom dish…and of course, start and finish with one of their awesome Hand-Crafted Elixirs. Manager Kristie commands the show with arresting grace. Khalid, Wesley and Maxime who also own Mosa/Caña, have come up with a recipe for success that makes their venue a favorite of ours and of many others on the Island, so we recommend reservations for indoor or outdoor seating. TIP: Check out all the varieties of wood stacked for the wood-burning grill.

Esty's Brasserie

It is such a delight when the owner of a Restaurant greets you with a warm hello, and that’s what you get when Esty welcomes you into her Restaurant/Home. This is one of the higher-end white tablecloth venues on the Island, and Esty, the Bartenders, Chefs and Staff have found a wonderful balance of creating a relaxed atmosphere, combined with a French Fine Dining experience. Shortly after Esty sat us, a ‘liquid work of art’ arrived from Bartender Dani. The restaurant excels in every way, including its Cellar of Wines. From the first bite of the meal, we were transported to France through flavor memory, and if you have not tried true French Cuisine, this is the place to start your epicurean adventure. There is a bon vivant spirit that permeates the atmosphere whether you sit at the front, in one of the cozy interior rooms, or under the strings of lights on the side patio… TIP: We suggest you make reservations, as it is very popular with regulars.

Fort Nassau

Fort Nassau, originally constructed in 1796 and perched on a hill overlooking Willemstad, is a historic fort with a commanding view of the city and its harbor. It has undergone several transformations, including a stint under British control when it was known as Fort George. The fort’s strategic significance has shifted over the years, and since 1959, it has operated as a restaurant. Visitors can enjoy not only the fort’s rich history but also stunning panoramic views and a unique dining experience, making Fort Nassau a memorable stop in Curaçao. TIP: One of the few restaurants open on Sundays. Sit on the side facing the water after Sunset, and take in the sparkling lights on the bay.

Kandela

Chef Marco cooks with passion and flair over an open pit fire, grilling meat and fish to smoky perfection. If you’re a meat lover, we suggest you go for it here—but there’s also always a good selection of fish and seafood for the grill. We’re fans of the stew (stoba) as well, and Marco always offers interesting side dishes. Even though it’s located right off the busy Caracassbaaiweg, the setting is magical, with wooden tables beneath a massive, enchanting tree. Here, the noise seems to fade away, allowing you to lose yourself in food, drink, conversation, and the wafting smoke and embers of the chef’s fire.

Chef Gabriel Fleijsman made quite a stir by opening a high-end Gourmet Fine Dining Restaurant on the Island, and we are all glad he did. He cooks with only the freshest ingredients he can find that day – yes, he is that level of chef. The menu isn’t large, as attention is paid to the quality not the quantity. But Fresh Caught Fish, Duck Breast, Confit Rib-Eye, and Vegetarian Ravioli are the sort of big-ticket entrees you’ll find on the menu, and you can of course pair them with Fine Wines and Cocktails. Now imagine that this culinary hideout is nestled in the natural setting of Bohémi Resort on the former plantation Klein St. Michiel. A preserved forest with century old trees. Huzzah! Just remember to book far in advance or you may miss out.

Serafina

Nestled in one of the most popular Restaurant enclaves in Pietermaai, across the street from the Avila Hotel, you will find the warm, yellow-colored walls of the Italian inspired eatery Serafina. The menu is traditional Italian fare, crafted with an inspired twist. The ingredients are carefully picked to genuinely reflect the regions the dishes are from: aged Parmigiano Reggiano from the Northern Parma region, fresh young Burrata from Puglia and fresh truffles from Umbria, etc. Meat dishes, Fresh Caught Fish, Classic Pastas and Italian desserts are all cooked by their chef with care. The patio dining atmosphere is relaxed and never rushed, so order a cocktail, mocktail, or bottle of wine and enjoy an Italian style evening in Curacao.
