Hofi Mango

This is a must-see experience to add to your agenda when visiting Curaçao – and if you live here and haven’t been yet, what are you waiting for? You’ll find this beautiful nature park along the drive to or from Westpunt. Step through the golden gates and into a lush landscape filled with legendary 300-year-old mango trees, vibrant wildlife, and peaceful walking trails. It’s a place where nature, history, art, and adventure come together. As you explore, you’ll come across the historic sugar mill and distillery, now a protected monument which tells the story of Curaçao’s early rum production. The beautifully restored site offers a window into the island’s colonial past and the legacy of those who once worked this land. Don’t miss the stone steps that lead up to a plateau, where a massive stone-and-wire sculpture by renowned local artist Giovanni Abath perfectly frames Mount Christoffel. In our Photography team’s opinion, this is one of the best Instagram photo spots on the island, so whether you’re up for a scenic hike or just want to take a slow walk through the trees and spot the wild peacocks that roam the grounds, this is a peaceful way to connect with nature and an easy Curaçao essential. Also worth noting: Hófi Mango is home to one of the best restaurants on the island, Kultura Kòrsou, run by acclaimed chef Willy Balentina. We highly recommend planning a meal there to round out your visit. And even though this is a nature park, the team has done a great job of making much of it wheelchair accessible. For those looking to add a bit more adventure, there is also a zipline experience on site, giving you a different perspective over the landscape and mango trees. It’s the kind of place you can spend a couple of quiet hours or linger half a day, depending on your pace. Bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and give yourself time to wander rather than rush this is more about soaking it in than checking it off a list.
